On Friday, November 22, the varsity Lady Warrior's basketball team played Kelly. Lauren Foster made the first score of the game, giving the Lady Warriors a lead 2-0. Although the Lady Warriors played well defensively Kelly was still able to score. The first quarter ended with Kelly leading 8-2. Molly Applewhite rebounded the ball for the Lady Warriors. Bergandie Conner made a free throw. Kelly continued to foul which gave Warren numerous opportunities to shoot free throws. Conner made a total of four more free throws and scored a shot making the score 16-9, Kelly still maintaining the lead. Autumn Sims also made a free throw and the Lady Warriors ended the first half of the game 16-10 with Kelly in the lead. Foster made a free throw for the Lady Warriors. Chelsea Gordon played well defensively. Conner scored again making the score 23-13. Devan Barnett also scored. Mikala McCauley contributed to the score by making a free throw. Kelly still held the lead at the end of the third quarter 25-16. Ashlynn Whisneant scored for the Lady Warriors. Warren continued to play hard defense, but were unable to take over the lead. The Lady Warriors lost 32-18.
On Tuesday, November 19, the varsity and JV Lady Warriors traveled to Silsbee. The JV team played a great game but lost 24-23. The varsity Lady Warriors played an excellent game also and earned their first win of the season. The varsity Warriors basketball team traveled to Goodrich. Warren played a strong game and beat Goodrich 56-48.
On Tuesday, December 3, the varsity and JV Warriors will travel to Tarkington. On December 5-7 the varsity Warriors and varsity Lady Warriors will both travel to and compete in the Evadale tournaments.
