Lufkin man arrested Monday in Woodville Post Office robbery

Police were dispatched Monday afternoon, after a call came in to 9-1-1 concerning a hold up taking place at the Woodville post office. Working from a description given to 9-1-1 by local postal workers, Woodville police department was able to arrest the subject who was on foot, at the corner of West Bluff and Village street in downtown Woodville within minutes of the call.

Keith Bailey, age 29, of Lufkin was arrested and is in custody at the Tyler County Sheriff's Department awaiting arraignment. As of press time, Woodville police have turned the case over to the United States Postal Inspectors office.

When asked for more information on the robbery, McMurray said, "We are unable to comment at this time. This is an ongoing federal investigation."

Robbery or burglary of a Post Office is a Federal Offense.
