On May 30, the entire athletic department of Warren joined together in recognition of a major contributor to their impressive program. Mike Paddie serves as an announcer at many athletic events and, in return, has recently had an on-campus press box dedicated to his service to the school. The Mike Paddie Press Box is located on the baseball and softball field area. Mike Paddie has been announcing at Warren athletic events for over 20 years and also works as the assistant superintendent of the school district. The baseball and softball players of Warren split into to two teams to participate in a ragball tournament. The tournament also included a homerun derby, which was open to the entire high school. Admission to compete in the homerun derby was $5. Ultimately, this event raised over $1200 in admissions and concessions combined. That money will go directly into the Mike Paddie Scholarship, which will be awarded to an athlete at the end of next school year.
