The Emporium for the Arts in Woodville held a unique "Wings and Wheels" event in Woodville May 19. The weather was great and a lot of local folks turned out for a full day of music, motorcyles, and stunts.
The show, which was put on by The Emporium for the Arts and Reno B. Jaton Superbike Stuntshows, was held at the Tyler County Airport. Cleo and Reno Jaton, two internationally known motorcycle stuntmen with seven world records in their name, put on the motorcycle stunt show. They moved to Woodville,Texas five years ago and say they want to give back to their new home town by holding the show at the airport on their 50th birthdays.
Missouri Hall of Fame Member, Kevin Miller, organized the musical entertainment. Several bands played, including TheTexas Backroads, Herbie Stuts Band ,and Lakota Jaton.
Other attractions included a display from a top motorcycle racer, Chris Hand, and his bike, The Redneck Express; a motorcycle safety demonsrration featuring U.S Women's ISDE team member, Lacy Jones Laurant; an airplane display by the Experimental Aircraft Association of Lufkin and helicopter rides by Alamo Helicopters of San Antonio.
