The Warren Junior High boys' track team competed in Anahuac in the district meet on March 28. The team brought home the first place trophy, as well as many individual awards.
In the 800m run, Andrew Gordon placed first and Cade Flebee made it in second. Flebee and Gordon placed second and third, respectively, in the 400m dash. The team was also successful in the 100m dash, with Kelby Weyler taking first and Tyler Murphy taking third place. Weyler placed first again in the 200m dash with Alec Marlar placing third. Marlar also placed second in the 100m hurdles. A compilation of Gordon, Flebee, Tyler Murphy, and Samuel Garcia placed second in the 400m relay. Murphy, Marlar, Weyler, and Kyler Bradford joined together to take home second in the 200m relay. Bradford placed again in the 1600m run, in which he came in third. Jason Adney placed first and Ty Choate placed sixth in the 300m hurdles. Three Warren participants placed in the triple jump; Bradford, Garcia, and Choate placed fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively.
The Warren High School tennis players competed in the District Tennis Tournament. Nathan Aulbaugh and Jacob Blackshear placed first in Boys Doubles and Lucas Briest and Taylor Conner placed third in Mixed Doubles. Kristyn Miller also placed, making second in Girls Singles.
The boys' golf team placed first in the district golf tournament on April 4. Brenna Johnson placed first in the girls division.
The varsity baseball team was also met with success in a seven inning game at home against Deweyville. The Warriors met with victory, with a score of 9-5. Their next game will take place on April 13 against Anahuac at home and will begin at 6:30 p.m. The varsity softball team also won their home game against East Chambers on April 5. The Lady Warriors finished with an impressive score of 14-4.
