The Yellowjackets faced the Burkeville Mustangs Tuesday, April 22 in Burkeville. Kris Kuehn started the first inning off right when he stole home to score the first run for the Jackets. Unfortunately a third out would close the inning with bases loaded. Burkeville was able to pick up two runs to take the lead. After a quiet second inning, the Jackets went to work. Kuehn hit a triple, followed by a walk by Billy
Thompson. Keaton Whitworth made a sacrifice out to score Kuehn and advance Thompson to third. Levi Watts hit an RBI single to score Thompson. The Mustangs answered with a run of their own to close the third inning with a tied score of 3-3. The Yellowjackets were able to make the hits, but could not muster any runs. The Yellowjackets fell to the Mustangs 3-5. Kuehn had one hit and two runs, Thompson had one hit and one run, Watts and Whitworth had one hit and one RBI each, Cord Neal, Colten Martin and Bailey Goins had one hit each.
