Warren athletics continues to be successful

On Tuesday, April 8, the JV and varsity Lady Warriors played at home against Kountze. This was the Lady Warriors pink out game in honor of supporting breast cancer. The JV Lady Warriors fought hard but were unable to defeat Kountze as they lost 13-8. The varsity Lady Warriors played excellent as they claimed a victory against Kountze for the second time this season. Warren won 16-10. On Friday, April 11, the JV and varsity Lady Warriors traveled to Newton. Warren JV and varsity Lady Warriors both had phenomenal games. The JV Lady Warriors won 13-0 and the varsity Lady Warriors won 9-3.

On Tuesday, April 8, the varsity Warriors traveled to Newton. The varsity Warriors excelled throughout the entire game and dominated Newton 17-1. On Thursday and Friday, April 10 and 11, the JV Warriors competed in a district tournament. Warren played Woodville, Corrigan, and Kirbyville in this tournament. The JV Warriors placed fourth overall in district. On Friday, April 11, the varsity Warriors traveled to Hemphill. Warren earned yet another win for the season as they defeated Hemphill 9-0.

The district track results are: Cody Hammonds placed 1st in the 400, 1st in the 800, 2nd in the high jump, and 4th in the triple jump. William Pelt placed 1st in the 3200 and 1st in the 1600. Keri Banks placed 2nd in the high jump. Chance McGallion placed 5th in the 110 hurdles.

Cameron Flebe placed 6th in the 100 and Tristin Garcia placed 6th in the 400.

The JV and varsity Lady Warriors will travel to Deweyville for their last game of the season on Thursday, April 17. The varsity Warriors will travel to Corrigan on Friday, April 18 and will play their last district home game against Woodville on Monday, April 21.
