Warren Junior High competes in the district track meet

On Monday, March 24, the seventh and eighth grade Lady Warriors competed in the district track meet. The seventh grade Lady Warriors earned as follows: Briana Amadore second and Lauren Griffin sixth in the 2400 meter race, the team of Olivia Hill, Hannah Balla, Kamey Ramer, and Jessica Pilgrim sixth in the 400 meter relay, Hallie Nevins fifth in the 100 meter hurdles, Pilgrim first in the 100 meter dash, Pilgrim first in long jump, Griffin second in the 1600 meter race, Pilgrim second in high jump, Brook Tanton fifth in discus, and Sachi Richardson sixth in triple jump. Other members of the Warren seventh grade track team are Tori Murphy, Evie Parsons, Valerie Weems, Chelsi Gore, Audrey Kramm, Hannah Benton, Bailey Moore, Jennifer Neyland, and Adri Williams. The seventh grade Lady Warriors placed fifth as a team at the district track meet.

The eighth grade Lady Warriors earned as follows: Mallory Walters second in the 2400 meter race, Walters second in the 1600 meter race, Samantha Marlar third in 100 meter hurdles, Marlar third in triple jump, the team of Alexis Arriola, Marlar, Erin Foster, and Currisa Hester fifth in the 400 meter relay. Kynsi Gillis fifth in the 300 meter hurdles, the team of Steffanee Fregia, Gillis, Gore, and Lexy Tingle sixth in the 1600 meter relay, Foster fifth in high jump, Hester second in shot put, and Grace Clinard fifth and Marion Purvis sixth in discus. Other members of the Warren eighth grade track team are Courtney Wheeler, Mikaila Spell, Skylar Hooks, Regan Foxworth, Dahlya Wise, Bailey Gray, Kyndell Gore, and Hannah Thorne. The eighth grade Lady Warriors placed fourth as a team at the district track meet. The junior high Lady Warriors had an excellent track season.

On Tuesday, March 25, the JV and varsity Lady Warriors played Deweyville at home. The JV team beat Deweyville 9-5 and the varsity Lady Warriors lost 15-0.

On Tuesday, March 25, the varsity Warriors lost to Kirbyville 10-0. On Friday, March 28, the varsity Warriors defeated Corrigan 4-2. The varsity Warriors district record is now 3-1.

The JV and varsity Lady Warriors will travel to Woodville on Thursday, April 3, play at home against Corrigan on Friday, April 4, and play at home against Kountze on Tuesday, April 8. The JV and varsity Warriors will travel to Woodville on Friday, April 4, and travel to Newton on Tuesday, April 8.
