On Thursday, February 6, the Warren high school power lifting team competed in a meet hosted at Warren. The Warriors team earned second place overall, and the Lady Warriors team earned fourth place overall. Cade Flebbe placed first in his weight class of 114 pounds with a total of 745 pounds. Tristan Stanley placed third in the same weight class with a total of 660 pounds. Tristan Garcia placed second in the weight class of 132 pounds by lifting a total of 630 pounds. Trinity Morris placed fourth in his weight class of 148 pounds by lifting a total of 685 pounds. Cameron Flebbe placed first with a total of 1080 pounds, and Ryan Laqua placed second with a total of 965 pounds, both in the weight class of 165 pounds. Gabe Sheffield placed fourth with a total of 940 pounds, and Jeremy Kojak placed fifth in their weight class of 181 pounds by lifting 840 pounds. Caleb Crittenden placed second in the weight class of 220 pounds by lifting a total of 1060 pounds. Gaylan Steubing placed first in his weight class of 275 pounds by lifting a total of 1250 pounds. The Lady Warriors only had three athletes. Misti Roberts placed third in her weight class with a total of 385 pounds. Jordan Bell placed second in her weight class with a total of 615 pounds. Bria Kirkpatrick placed first in her weight class with a total of 650 pounds.
On Tuesday, February 4, the JV and varsity Lady Warriors played in their last basketball game of the season. Both teams defeated the Lady Pirates. The JV and varsity Warriors also beat Deweyville. The JV Lady Warriors had a district record of 9-3. The varsity Lady Warriors had a district record of 6-8. The JV and varsity Warriors traveled to Kirbyville on Friday, February 7. The JV team won and the varsity Warriors fought a close game in which they were able to defeat Kirbyville 32-30. The Lady Warriors varsity softball team will play against Anahuac on Friday, February 14.
