Celebrating the Magic of Christmas In Tyler County—Christmas is closing in on us, and the whole county will celebrate the coming event this weekend with the annual Christmas in Tyler County Celebration. The event always starts with the Wee Wisdom Nativity children on the Courthouse Square (a scene from last year is shown in the photo above) from 5:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. Then Tyler County Judge Jacques Blanchette will "light the courthouse," Santa will arrive, and there will be a lot of fun on and near the Square until 9:30 p.m. Saturday kicks off with the Rotary Pancake Breakfast in St. Paul's Episcopal Fellowship Hall, 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Allan Shivers Library is the place to be from noon until 2 p.m. as they host Christmas Cartoons and brunch while visiting with Santa. You can also take a free tour of the Museum. Then head out to Heritage Village from "dark until 8 p.m." for the free Twilight Tour of the Village. You'll find plenty of entertainment, refreshments (cookies and wassail!), wrapping up with a special Christmas Service at 7 p.m. in the Cherokee Church.
