Three Colmesneil residents were arrested March 26 and charged with numerous drug charges after a tip led the Tyler County Sheriff's Department to investigate a residence on County Road 2800.
Deputies arrived at the residence and made contact with the owner, Ashlee Ryan Dewalt, age 25, of Colmesneil. They asked if there were any other adults at the residence, and she said that an Arthur Gernon, age 20, also of Colmesneil, lived at the residence. She also said her one-year-old son, who was sleeping in another room at the time, lived there. In the rear room of the residence deputies met and identified Lillian Christine Allen, age 18, of Colmesneil.
Tyler County Sheriff's Department had prior warrants for Gernon.When they entered the residence to search for him, they found him hiding in the closet, detained him and verified his warrants.
After a search of the residence deputies found a large amount of narcotics, including a metal container with plastic baggies and a meth straw, several water bong pipes, syringes wrapped in tinfoil, a marijuana grinder, and tinfoil pipes along with other drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The search also revealed possible stolen debit and credit cards.
"All of the cards found had other people's names on them and did not belong to anyone at the residence," said Chief Deputy Phil Ryan.
The investigation into whether the cards are stolen in still ongoing.
Ashlee Dewalt admitted drug use, and Child Protective Services was notified.
Lillian Allen was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance Hydrocodone, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and Possession of Methamphetamine, which is a felony. Her bond was set at $15,500.
Arthur Gernon was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Methamphetamine, a state jail felony. His bond was set at $10,500.
Ashley Dewalt was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,and Possession of Controlled Substance Methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $7,500.
